What must be arranged when moving out of an apartment?
It would be easy if there was a fixed price for what it costs to vacate an apartment of x number of square meters. Unfortunately, this is simply not the case. Therefore, it is also very difficult to predict what the price for renovating an apartment will be in your case.
However, we can delve into some average prices for what typically needs to be fixed when moving out.
Painting of apartment
A large part of the price for refurbishing an apartment when moving out goes to paint. The average price for this is DKK 220 incl. VAT per square meter. An apartment of 75 square meters will therefore cost around DKK 16,500. However, this may well be cheaper if there are areas that do not need to be painted. The price includes everything from walls and ceilings to door frames.
Main cleaning is usually also part of the price renovation upon moving out of apartment. This will typically be located at 2,000-3,000 kroner, depending on how much cleaning is needed. You can do a lot yourself to reduce the price by being thorough with cleaning.
Sanding and varnishing of floors
If there are wooden floors in the home, there will also be an expense for possible sanding and varnishing, if deemed necessary by the landlord. If you have rooms that have not been used much, these will typically not need to be treated. It costs on average between DKK 100-130 per square meter. It can therefore quickly run up if you have not taken good care of the floor.
